'Putrid' water buckets, old food and grease on trays at McDonald's: Lancaster County restaurant inspections

The following Lancaster County restaurants were found to have violated Pennsylvania's health and safety regulations during inspections between Oct. 21-27.

Inspections are overseen by the Department of Agriculture. The department notes that in many cases violations are corrected by the restaurant before inspectors leave.

--Prepared food - wheels and legs of the chicken fryer and beneath the oven, a non-food contact surfaces not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil.

--Warehouse and seafood department - food employee personal belongings, jackets and shirts, observed being stored on top of food or hanging on racks contacting utensils, although lockers are provided.

--Bakery department - observed old-food residue on cake pans, cupcake pans, loaf pans, lids, utensils, spatulas, and tongs, all stored as clean.

--Warehouse area - observed single-service, single-use articles (cups, lids, containers) stored directly on the floor, and not 6 inches above the floor.
